Prenatal Diagnosis of Congenital Heart Disease (II edition)

The course is structured in two complementary components. The online session, scheduled for April 10th, will focus on Prenatal Diagnosis of Congenital Heart Disease (II edition).

The practical session, schueduled for April 11th, on ultrasound during labor will be held at CEMER – Centro Europeo per la Medicina e la Ricerca, in Perugia, Italy. The session is designed to provide hands-on training and will accommodate a maximum of 44 participants. Training will be organized into 11 practical stations, with 4 participants assigned to each station, ensuring optimal interaction and individualized learning.

Registration for the online and practical sessions is separate, and participation in the practical session is optional.

Content: Practical strategies to improve fetal heart imaging and optimise standard planes. 

Lecture 3: Diagnosis of Challenging Congenital Heart Disease (CHD)

Content: Techniques for identification of transposition of the great arteries and coarctation of the aorta.

The practical session, scheduled for April 11th, will take place at CEMER – Centro Europeo per la Medicina e la Ricerca, in Perugia, Italy. This immersive, hands-on training is dedicated to prenatal ultrasound across all trimesters of pregnancy, guiding participants from normal anatomy to the comprehensive assessment of congenital anomalies, with a special focus on congenital heart diseases.

Designed to maximize practical experience and direct interaction with expert tutors, the session will host a maximum of 44 participants. Training will be delivered through OPUS practical stations, ensuring individualized supervision, active participation, and an optimal learning environment.

Lecture 7: Neurodevelopmental Outcomes After Congenital Heart Disease 

Speaker: Damien Bonnet 
Content: Long-term outcomes, neurodevelopmental pathways, and interdisciplinary follow-up.
